Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Analyst at the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Treatment Science (PETS), which facilitates and performs innovative, multidisciplinary science related to the use and outcomes of therapeutics and diagnostics in large populations. Its mission is to advance pharmacoepidemiology and related fields by conducting world-class research and facilitating high-quality training. Core faculty members possess expertise in the study of therapeutics and diagnostics including the analysis of large databases, observational research methods, and interventional studies. The Center brings together faculty from various schools, departments, and institutes at Rutgers as well as colleagues from academia, industry, and regulatory agencies with expertise ranging from epidemiology, biostatistics, and biomedical informatics to clinical medicine, economics, and the social sciences. PETS facilitates training in pharmacoepidemiology for graduate students across relevant disciplines at Rutgers who want to focus their research on questions related to use and outcomes of therapeutics and diagnostics.
Among the key duties of this position are:
Lead complex and technically challenging analyses of massive health care datasets in studies of pharmaceutical and health services utilization and outcomes.
Oversee and conduct analyses involving complex modeling and advanced use of statistical and analytic tools in SAS and other analytic software and guide the work of analytic teams.
Work directly with senior faculty and other investigators on study design, development and implementation of protocols for analyses.
Apply advanced knowledge of statistical theory and practice to analytic work and provide statistical consultation and expertise to federally funded projects including the selection of appropriate statistical modeling strategies to appropriately address research questions and test hypotheses in pharmacoepidemiology studies.
Maintain expertise in statistical techniques for health services and outcomes research;
