JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, this position plans, directs, and coordinates activities to ensure the successful development and sustainability of a nationwide network designed to advance research on emotional wellbeing and the economic burden of disease (EMOT-ECON).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Takes lead responsibility for continuous, proactive identification of potential community partners, researchers and other individuals and continually maintain these relationships and encourage formal membership in the Network.
Develops resources especially designed for Network members and develop and implement an engagement plan to have members actively participate in the Network.
Develops RFAs for each funding cycle and develop and lead, dissemination plan for RFAs to have the funding opportunity widely distributed throughout the country.
Oversee grant review process including developing a system to receive applications and have them distributed to grant reviewers and submitting necessary grant materials to NIH for approval of pilot projects and manage that process.
Updates and maintains a website that will serve as a resource for researchers, patients, healthcare providers and other individuals interested in EMOT-ECON research.
Develops resources for the Network, including newsletters, a library of relevant research articles, assessments tools, find a collaborator tool, etc.
Organizes grand rounds, how to webinars, and co-lead the planning of EMOT-ECON scientific meetings by engaging speakers from across the country and world.
Implement research protocols for a randomized trial to increase the participation of cancer survivors in research including the timely and accurate entry of all required research related data.
Take lead responsibility in developing implementing and analyzing data for a qualitative research study that involves conducting interviews with researchers and cancer survivors.
Take lead responsibility in developing a recruitment toolkit that will be disseminated nationally to support the recruitment of study participants to research studies.
Maintain needed regulatory documents (generating and submitting to the Institutional Review Board).
