Job Description: What We're Looking For
Baylor University's Financial Aid Office is seeking a full-time Financial Aid Quality Assurance and Compliance Coordinator. The primary responsibility of this position is to create, evaluate, and maintain written policy and procedures for Title IV Federal, State, and NCAA regulations required to administer student financial aid, guide department staff in understanding compliance requirements related to financial aid programs, and to create, coordinate and conduct on-going financial aid trainings. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

Knowledge of current Department of Education (ED) and State of Texas financial aid regulations, Title IV financial aid programs, withdrawals, federal financial aid software including EdConnect, COD, NSLDS is preferred
Financial aid student systems knowledge, including Banner is preferred
A Bachelor's degree with three or more years of relevant Financial Aid work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. Hybrid and Remote work will be considered for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Work closely with Director of Operations and Compliance Manager to develop strategies to ensure financial aid compliance controls are maintained.
Work with leadership to identify and create written policy and procedures
Work alongside processing teams to review report parameters and identify opportunities for process efficiencies.
Offer guidance and solutions to support a better student experience.
Coordinate, create and conduct compliance related trainings for the office.
Monitor regulatory and professional association websites and provide regular updates for staff.
Coordinate policy and procedural updates annually
Maintain a thorough knowledge of Federal, State, NCAA regulations, and University policies to help ensure compliance.
Partner with the Financial Aid Compliance Manager to conduct on-going internal compliance reviews.
Assist with Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) review, withdrawal calculations, financial aid appeal processes and student repackaging during peak periods or as needed.
Attend training sessions and conferences to maintain knowledge and keep current on regulatory updates.
Assist with special projects or other duties as assigned.
