This is a time-limited grant funded position on an incoming Department of Defense grant. The position holder will be a University of North Carolina at Charlotte employee, but be on site at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia.

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the research study, namely Piloting a Brief Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (BCBT) Group Intervention for Suicidal Behavior among Active Duty Military Personnel. The position holder assists in project planning, and ensures that pre-established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed. The CRC recruits and coordinates research participants, as appropriate, and serves as principle administrative liaison for the project with military and academic team members. The CRC uses sound decision-making to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. The CRC works closely with the clinical team members and investigators to ensure that all protocol required procedures and study visits occur in accordance with protocol specific guidelines. They assist with a development plan for resource allocation.
