Aerie Pharmaceuticals is delighted to partner with the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy to offer a one-year hands-on fellowship training experience to launch the next generation of Clinical Development leaders and scientists. The fellowship position is based in Irvine, California.
Fellows will be immersed in a dynamic learning environment while participating in early and/or late-stage clinical study activities. Specific activities depend on current business activities and may include:
Participation in the planning stages of clinical studies: contribute to clinical development plans, study protocols, investigator brochures, procedure manuals, informed consent forms, and regulatory submissions
Collaborating with the Clinical Operations team to operationalize clinical trials from startup through execution and closeout
Participating in ongoing data review, analysis, and reporting
Contributing to clinical development strategy and execution within cross-functional teams
Planning and interpreting data from published research and clinical trials
Developing expertise in ophthalmic diseases with unmet need, understanding of available therapies, and treatments in development

Fellows in our program have the benefit to further enhance their experience through the academic component at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy, one of the nation's leading schools of pharmacy. Fellows are given the opportunity to take graduate courses in the Regulatory Science program, lecture in the School of Pharmacy, and engage in the strong network of USC alumni.

Applicants must have a Pharm.D., Ph.D., or M.D. at the time of matriculation into the fellowship program, and a minimum doctoral program GPA of 3.0. Applicants will receive a confirmation email after completion of the application and a follow up email will be sent out with further instructions for the interview process.
