The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute provides the best scientific research, education and clinical care integrating conventional and complementary medicine and strives to transform healthcare through the practice of integrative health by conducting rigorous research, promoting evidence-based treatment modalities, educating the public on well-being practices, providing individualized, patient-centered clinical care and providing services to the community that focus on obtaining optimal health.
The position provides administration, coordination, and support of the Integrative Medicine Fellowship. The candidate will work with Fellowship directors, faculty, and fellows to develop a new educational program. Management of the program by ensuring that annual requirements are met and educational activities which support the curriculum are maintained. Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed fellow expectations. Contribute to positive team goals and coordination improvement. Along with Administrative Director, serve as program liaison with various other agencies, organizations, and groups. Prepare a variety of documentation associated with program operations; distributes documentation and retains records as appropriate. Maintain computerized and hard-copy files of program records. Develop processes to improve task efficiency by standardizing formats for routine correspondence and identify areas for improved efficiency.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Basic knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements. Basic knowledge of health professions education industry. Basic knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research. Acquiring skills in developing and implementing processes and systems. Familiarity with the administrative and operational implications in a program. Communication skills; includes verbal, written and active listening. Service oriented and responsive to questions and requests. Ability to interact in a professional, resourceful, and courteous manner. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop working relationships within department and with learners. Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to work with extremely complex faculty calendars / schedules requires extremely well organized and detail oriented precision. Knowledge of educational technology and systems. Ability to troubleshoot and triages related technology issues. Investigative, data analysis, and reporting skills. Ability to generate computer reports, checking for errors, correcting and submitting accurate reports. Skills include entering, maintaining, extracting, and analyzing data in electronic systems. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of University Policies and Procedures including Financial, Human Resources, and Payroll.
