The Program Manager in this role will function as a team member on complex projects.Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans.Orchestrate team efforts to achieve milestones and resolve issues.Maintain visibility and exposure to all disciplines of operations, product development, quality, regulatory, marketing and senior management. With a focus in the business sustaining functions, this role will interface with numerous functions of the business.Primary goal is to ensure that the projects in the portfolio deliver on-time and on-budget.This role will also play a major role in helping to coordinate project management activities across our multiple sites around the world.Through running project meetings, managing schedules, or developing strategic plans for new programs, the Program Manager will be focused on ensuring that we deliver the products that support our corporate mission to make healthcare better.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicate frequently across all project disciplines to ensure both team and senior management are aware of upcoming milestones and risks/issues.
Conduct regular meetings with project teams to resolve issues and risks, maintain engagement/focus, and share updates with all team members.
Create and maintain program/project documentation (e.g. charter, roadmap/pipeline, risks and opportunities, lessons learned, etc.) to meet business goals and program objectives.
Maintain timelines with regular updates to re-project milestones, monitor critical path, and calculate launch dates while maintaining baseline data.
Coordinate with project leaders to foresee/understand critical project activities and to enable them to manage team resources and tasks to avoid critical path slippage.
Partner with project team members to maintain engagement and focus on project commitments and dependencies.
Create, maintain, and utilize project templates for various types of business sustaining projects.
Track and forecast project performance with respect to timeline and budget.
Develop and maintain project status tracking and reporting tools.
Improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, influencing, training, mentoring and motivating to facilitate cooperation, ensure efficiency, and boost morale.
What you need-
Bachelor's Degree required (within a business or technical field preferred)
8+ years of related experience required (within medical device or other regulated industry preferred)
8+ years demonstrated project management experience in at least one discipline (RA/QA, R&D, Operations, etc.)
PMP or Prince2 certification and/or formal program/project management training or coursework strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage global cross functional projects to successful completion
Demonstrated expertise in the effective application of project management tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, and Visio
Excellent interpersonal communication, collaborative team work, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct meetings
Demonstrated experience presenting to management and ability to build trusting relationships
Demonstrated expertise with managing programs for the development of new technologies and products in a regulated environment
This job may be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States, except that this job may not be filled or performed in Colorado.
