The Research Compliance Coordinator, under general supervision, maintains daily/ routine activities of the Office of Research Compliance, and supports periodic functions of the assigned regulatory research committees; provides information to investigators, students, and others.
Coordinates committee meetings including completion of minutes and ensure inclusion of appropriate regulatory language and addressing committee outcomes and stipulations.
Monitors committee email inbox and manages the inbox process and pre-review of protocols submitted through the system
Consults and advises faculty, staff, and students in the preparation of protocols based on appropriate University guidelines, and Federal regulations. Responds to questions regarding the compliance program.Â
Maintains complete and accurate documentation of all correspondence related to the protocols, including exceptions, approvals, expiration dates and stipulations attached to the protocols. Promptly notifies supervisor regarding issues of non-compliance.
Assists in site visits, laboratory inspections, and maintains documentation of approved facilities.Â
Participates in the development of training materials and conducts regulatory training for investigators and committee members when assigned.
Works with supervisor in the development or modification of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and office processes.
Monitors document submissions, reports, and notices for quality control, and maintains records.
Coordinates with other offices and programs as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
Three years of related experience in research compliance or related research areas.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures is an asset for this position.
Willing to learn and complete trainings as required.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
