Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Manager for the Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
The primary purpose of the Program Manager position is to provide administrative direction and oversight to assigned programs, and closely monitor program integrity to comply with all regulatory requirements. Responsible for ongoing program development and implementation of Best Practice interventions.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides administrative and clinical direction for Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Programs services.
Ensures that program meets or exceeds objectives.
Supervises staff as assigned by the Director.
Plans, trains and supervises the work of others engaged in program supervision.
Directs course of action in emergency situations.
Performs duties relevant to a leadership position and supports goals and objectives of University Behavioral Health Care.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in a behavioral health discipline and five (5) years of postgraduate experience in a relevant behavioral healthcare setting.
Two (2) years supervisory experience.
An appropriate doctorate may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Outstanding human relations and leadership skills, and the ability to function in a team environment.
Demonstrated knowledge is necessary of how to accomplish superior performance in a unionized environment.
Extensive knowledge and experience with behavioral healthcare prevention services.
