Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Clinician Supervisor for the Intensive Outpatient Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
The primary purpose of the Clinician Supervisor position is to oversee the daily operations of assigned programs and sites and to play a lead role in program planning and development, under the supervision of the Clinician Administrator. Responsible for addressing operational problems and finding appropriate solutions. Assures that all programs comply with all contractual, procedural, and regulatory expectations. Provides advanced-level clinical supervision and administrative leadership to multidisciplinary staff and students. Provides advanced level evidence supported clinical treatment, which meets and/or exceeds quality and quantity standards. Documents this treatment appropriately, and within specified timeframes. Demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs and delivering relevant evidence-based treatment approaches for the population served.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides administrative and clinical direction for assigned programs.
Oversees daily operations at program level.
Supervises staff assigned by the Clinician Administrator.
Provides co-occurring services as clinically indicated and ensures that all subordinate clinical staff does the same.
Effective team leadership and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a behavioral health discipline and five (5) years of postgraduate experience in a relevant behavioral healthcare setting.
Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
An appropriate doctorate may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
Experience working in IOP.
Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC).
