The Emergency Management Staff is responsible for supporting all functions, programs and responsibilities of the Environmental Safety/Emergency Management Department. This position will support the Safety Director in the development of the Cook Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) Emergency Management program which manages activities directed at preparing for and mitigating the impact of internal & external emergencies, and meeting the standards set forth by regulatory and law enforcement agencies. This position will focus on the administration of the emergency management program, the implementation, review, revision and measurement of emergency management standards and plans, and will serve as a liaison with internal departments and external stakeholders, as necessary. This position will require 24/7 on-call responsibilities.
Bachelor's Degree required in healthcare emergency management, general emergency management, healthcare administration, education or related discipline.
3 years of direct experience in emergency management.
Demonstrated/documented evidence of continued professional growth.
PC skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and Web browsers.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
Completion of Incident Command Systems training levels 100, 200, 700, 800 required.
Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional preferred.
Certified Incident Command Systems Trainer preferred.
