As a Barclays Senior Governance and Control Manager you will work in The Chief Controls Office (CCO) which is a new organisation in Barclays. You would be responsible for leading and coordinating the Control agenda in the First Line of Defence across Barclays covering non-financial and conduct risks. What you'll be doing? ??? Working with stakeholders across the three lines of defence to ensure that the frameworks that are fit for purpose and well understood by the business areas and functions ??? Providing oversight of the implementation of strategic and regulatory change programmes, ensuring that appropriate processes have been followed by the projects ??? Understanding and being able to assess the impact that strategic/ regulatory change and continuous improvement initiatives have upon the control environment ??? Providing support to the business regarding the design, review and monitoring of ring fencing controls which ensure and evidence our compliance with ring fencing rules ??? Ongoing interaction with colleagues on audit plans, ensuring these are communicated effectively across impacted areas and acting as a key point of contact ??? Providing robust, effective and insightful reporting, analysis and communication to provide assurance to senior management that the business is compliant
What we're looking for: ??? Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present credibly to senior stakeholders ??? Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders in different business functions who have different objectives e.g. Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Legal ??? Experience of Project or Change Management and assessment of the impacts this has upon the internal control environment ??? Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
