We're looking for a regulatory reward and governance specialist to assist in the interpretation and satisfaction of regulatory and governance requirements impacting remuneration. This is a new role, reporting to the Executive Compensation and Governance Manager with responsibilities over compensation regulations and governance. In addition to leading the preparation of relevant compensation-related regulatory disclosures and processes, you will identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.

The Human Resources team is responsible for ensuring that Schroders maximises the return on its investment in people and does this through the development and implementation of policies and practices that attract, reward and retain high quality employees, to achieve business objectives in line with our values and strategic goals.
The Reward and Wellbeing team is responsible for the development and implementation of the company's remuneration policies and practices. The team supports all lines of business and provides advice, guidance and support for all compensation, benefits, pensions and employee wellbeing activities. In practice this involves developing policies to support the business strategy whilst meeting our regulatory and governance requirements; working closely with the HR Business Partners to support our businesses as they adapt and respond to the competitive markets; facilitating the annual compensation review process; and managing our pension, benefits and deferred award plans across the globe.
What you'll do
??? Prepare regulatory disclosures, for UK and EMEA entities, including Pillar III, RPS, AIF / UCITS fund disclosures, executive pay disclosures, and gender and ethnicity pay gap reporting. ??? Lead material risk taker identification processes, including in respect of CRD, AIFMD, UCITS V, IFD/IFPR and Solvency II. ??? Evaluate Schroders' approach to regulatory compliance, proactively identifying potential areas for improvement and assisting with adoption of new requirements. ??? Undertake ad hoc analysis, supporting the assessment of new regulatory requirements and/or to feeding in to Remuneration Committee papers. ??? Support the operation of the Remuneration Committee, organising and coordinating the agenda, papers, committee packs and pre-meeting materials. ??? Assist in the design and implementation of executive compensation, reviewing market practice and preparing scenario analyses for alternative design considerations. ??? Support internal audit in their annual review of compensation approach. Assist in responding to and actioning to any areas flagged, where appropriate. ??? Assist compensation managers with the year-end process, taking on business-facing compensation.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
??? Knowledge of UK and European regulations impacting financial services, including some or all of CRD, AIFMD, UCITS V, IFD/IFPR and Solvency II ??? Experience of reward in financial services ??? Strong numerical and analytical skills ??? Proven track record of accurate and timely delivery across a range of concurrent processes ??? Advanced Microsoft Excel skills ??? Proven ability to manage large datasets and improve processes
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
??? Experience of operating in a UK PLC environment ??? Experience using HRIS and technology systems, ideally one or more of (i) Oracle; (ii) EWM; and/or (iii) Anaplan ??? Understanding of reward in an asset management context ??? Knowledge of UK listing requirements related to remuneration ??? Understanding of proxy voting agency views on remuneration matters
