In order to ensure that the emergent growth of our business can be implemented quickly and effectively, Schroders Capital Investment is looking to hire a
Investment Director Sustainability
Support the Head of Sustainability for Private Equity with overall strategy and policy development, and implementation across our global platform
Work as part of the investment team to improve sustainability integration within the investment process, as well as the development and implementation of policies, practices, tools and systems
Address and advise on ESG considerations during due diligences for new investments as well as continuous engagement through their lifecycle
Strengthen ESG data collection, analytics and tools, and coordinate ESG reporting initiatives
Oversee alignment of our sustainability efforts with the evolving regulatory landscape
Create thought leadership pieces around key sustainability topics and support the development of ESG materials for clients
Industry engagement through representation at industry groups and sustainability committees, attending conferences and contributing to industry initiatives (e.g. Invest Europe, UN ICI)
Communicate our sustainability strategy internally (client relations, distribution, marketing) and externally to clients, consultants and other stakeholders.
A degree from a leading university, or equivalent. An MBA or Master's degree is a plus
8+ years of work experience in private equity investments and/or sustainability
Strong understanding of private equity investments, ESG, responsible investing and impact investing
Ability to navigate and understand the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape for sustainability in private equity. A strong understanding of the current regulatory landscape (e.g. SFDR) is a strong plus
Personal resilience and flexibility; ability to take ownership and act proactively for projects and tasks
Strong project management and execution skills with an ability to meet challenging deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English a must, German a plus
Excellent research and analytical skills and the ability to present conclusions in a clear and well-structured manner
