Occupational Therapist Traveler - Yampa Valley Medical Center, Steamboat Springs, CO Outpatient Hand clinic. Certified Hand Therapist
Occupational or Physical Therapist can fill the position with a CHT license.
Monday-Friday 0830-1700. Must work every 4th weekend, with comp days before and after weekends worked
Valid Colorado OT license. Acute care Rehab experience preferred.
*Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
*Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
*Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
*Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. Preferred: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Current licensure with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Occupational Therapy. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
Two years recent/current/like experience
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
Due to Point of Care Testing duties associated with this position, upon hire, a copy of highest level of education (diploma, degree, or transcripts) would be required to present to the hiring manager. If this is available to you at this time, please attach it with your resume in one document.

This position's pay is: $37.00/hour + travel stipend/package. An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
