Perform advanced serology and virology testing. Determines, prepares, and analyzes, results for Serology and Virology testing. Analyze test results, chart, and monitor the lab's quality control records. Responsible for ongoing quality assurance and quality control of assays and continual improvement upon documents and procedures. Compliant with all requirements for AAVLD, NPIP, NDDHS, VSPS, Center for Disease Control (CDC), USDA and Nebraska Department of Agriculture including passing proficiency testing and maintaining accreditation and other requirements to run regulatory testing. Troubleshoot technical issues in laboratory. Responsible for assigned work in the form of individual tasks or series of tasks/procedures/techniques that require application of knowledge obtained by direct instruction and performance on the job.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of lab or related experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Precision, accuracy, attention to detail, and technical knowledge and ability necessary. Experience with basic and skilled lab procedures. Basic data collection, analysis, and report writing skills. Experience must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of livestock diseases, virology, serology, and molecular biology.
