About the Role A rare opportunity to join an established name in the AV technology industry, working with technology manufacturers to support channel partner businesses across Australia and New Zealand.
In this vital role you will be the subject matter expert and go-to person for home automation, audio visual and control solutions for this distributor’s dealer partners who integrate and install the technology.
This role will see you dealing with a range of channel partner organisations, including national and multinational businesses working on multi-million installations, to smaller independent specialists, all of who need to get the best from technology to serve their markets and stay ahead of their competition. To succeed, you will need to utilise your extensive knowledge of audio visual technologies in a commercial setting and be able to engage with AV systems integrators and their technical and project delivery staff. This is a technical role where you will be a trusted advisor helping partners find the best possible solution for their clients, influencing and educating decision makers and project managers.
As technical services manager, your role requires you to train and develop channel partners’ installation, commissioning and programming teams to ensure that they have strong knowledge of your products and can effectively deploy them. You will support and manage a small internal team of technical and logistics professionals to provide excellent customer service to dealer partners. You will manage all return merchandise authorization processes, product repairs and warranty cases working closely with vendors to ensure a positive and timely outcome for your customers.
Your technical knowledge will be utilised by the whole business, including the sales and admin teams, who will look to you for guidance on the best solution for clients and on pricing and quoting technology solutions. As you develop in the role, you will work on continuous improvement of internal processes to better serve your customer base.
This role requires someone with strong knowledge of home automation, audio visual and control technologies.
You will need excellent presentation and communication skills to provide the high level of support expected by dealer/integrator partners, as well as industry leading training on the technologies the company offers.
Good people skills are required to motivate and support your team and build strong relationships with vendors and customers you will work with on a regular basis.
CEDIA and AVIXA qualifications would be an advantage.
