The Head of Alpha Professional Services Americas has responsibility for the teams supporting Business Development, Alpha Solutions (Middle Office & Data services), Strategic Client Change, Consulting services and Alpha Implementation. This includes support for new Alpha deals from inception through Discovery/Due Diligence, Business Analysis, Alpha/Client Business Solution Design through to contract signing, transitioning to Detailed/Technical Solution Design, Program Execution including working with Product/IT on Development, Managing Configuration/Deployment Activities, Managing Conversion Activities, Business and Client Testing, Operational Readiness and support for Internal and Client teams through a Warranty Period.
Throughout the deal, the Head of Alpha Professional Services Americas will lead client meetings and the Alpha teams will agree business requirements, scope of services, product development, approve the implementation project plans and advise the Sector/Segment Solutions, Alpha Sales, and Client Executive teams, in positioning Alpha standard services and understanding the client requirements. Post contract signing, the group will lead the Client Implementation, oversee management of the project management teams, providing leadership and direction for projects, guidance and support on project scope, risks and issues management with overall responsibility for program execution.
Role also works with existing clients to manage large client change requests, regulatory/industry change events, supports business and technical transformation activities, product development and adoption, etc.
Professional Services P&L responsibilities include deal pricing at target margins; financial management to revenue, expense and margin targets are achieved; proactive talent, capacity and resource management; coordination on implementation and business resources across divisions; and overall/strategic financial management in support of division and corporate goals.
Ongoing development of a Professional Services business practice includes setting up the infrastructure and tools to enable efficient and timely implementation; continuous productivity improvement to drive implementation time down, quality, predictability, margin; building a Professional Service portfolio that drives revenue beyond traditional implementation activities to help clients achieve transformation objectives.
Qualifications Minimum of 15 years relevant professional experience gained in the Asset Management segment, including Front Office Investment Management, Investment Management Operations, Investment Management Technology and/or Professional Services/Consulting experience.
Specific experience delivering complex Front Office and Middle Office transformation programs at scale in Professional Services or Consulting context. (Big 4 or similar experience preferred.)
Relationship Management, Client Service, Business Development, Business/Service Architecture, Client Solutions, Program & Project planning experience.
Detailed understanding of processes and systems necessary to support Investment Management and Investment Management Operations: Front Office, Middle Office, Data Management experience is critical.
Strong understanding of Investment Management Data and use in Front and Middle Office Technology Platforms and/or Business Processes.
