The Safety Manager will provide leadership, enhance, support and administer effective safety and health programs. Provide direct support to our Retail, Apparel Manufacturing, Transportation and Healthcare Laundry Divisions.
Plan and implement industrial safety programs. Inspects facilities to detect existing or potential hazards. Determines corrective or preventive measures where indicated.
Conduct, coordinate and record all annual safety trainings. Chairs monthly safety committee meetings and conducts accident investigations.
Other duties as assigned.
BS Degree in Occupational Safety or related field is highly desirable. A combination of education and job experience will be considered.
OSHA 501 trainer courses in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry Certification. Minimum 3 years of Industrial experience related to safety management and plant operation. Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding OSHA, DOT, and W/C. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Haitian Creole is a plus.
