As a Denials Analyst you need to know how to:
Establish denials prevention programs and serve as subject matter expert across SCL to mitigate losses from denials
Ensure optimal performance in all areas of denials prevention in compliance with SCL policies and regulatory standards
Lead and drive denial prevention projects through collaboration with care sites and RSC operations and leadership
Participate in projects and process design/reengineering or other committees designed to improve effectiveness/efficiency of the business
Identify system and process improvement opportunities to reduce and prevent denials, streamline complex billing problems and maximize collection efforts
Perform root-cause analysis, prepare and implement action plans, and lead improvement projects/initiatives
Provide recommendations for improvement and efficiency in processes to the RSC Operations Management Team
We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
Associates Degree in related field
Minimum of two (2) years of data analysis experience
At least two (2) years in health care data analysis, HIM, Hospital Billing or revenue cycle experience
Previous work experience in a multi-site environment
Previous experience with CMS regulations, billing compliance and CPT/HCPCS coding
