As an Ancillary Application Administrator you need to know how to:
Develop and maintain clinical and business systems to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
Monitor and revise ancillary application policy/procedure manuals as necessary to identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency using computer hardware and software systems.
Be the primary point of contact for ancillary application issues with current and future systems. Liaison with existing support staff and vendors for current systems.
Assist with review and implementation of new software installation. Define hardware and facilities requirements for CIS project. Lead the implementation and validation of software across clinical and business functions, as specified in project scope. Develops necessary documentation. Ensure consistency and quality in software implemented.
Address non-standard operation of ancillary applications and/or downtime and to minimize non-standard operation of systems. Assure patches are implemented promptly for optimal performance and security of electronic data.
Collaborate to develop short and long-range plans for the department that include goals and objectives. Define and implement measurable quality improvement indicators for each program component/service.
Monitor security of ancillary applications, privacy, and user access. Oversees adherence to all technical and regulatory requirements for department (local, state, and federal). Actively supports and participates in the departments continuous quality improvement efforts.

Associates Degree, required
Bachelor's Degree in computer related field, preferred
Minimum of three (3) years progressive experience as technical application support staff including implementation, support, report writing, trouble shooting, upgrades, and customizing/configuring systems to business needs, required (Bachelor's Degree may substitute for one (1) year of experience)
