Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Medical Records Clerk for the Department of Clinical Records within University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC). Under direction of the Manager, Clinical Records, the Senior Medical Records Clerk plays a key role in the chart completion process by ensuring that all outpatient documentation received by the clinical record department meets UBHC and external regulatory standards.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Ensures that all outpatient documentation received by the Clinical Record Department meets UBHC external regulatory standards.
Enters treatment plans into tracking data base.
Assists Center staff with retrieval of patient information and completion of deficiencies.
Professionally handles telephone calls.
Completes special projects for supervisors.
Minimum Education and Experience:
One (1) year of prior medical record experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of terminal digit filing processes.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Lifting (25-50 pounds).
