General Description:

Niagara County Community College has a vacancy for a full-time, 10 month, tenure-track Industrial Technology Instructor position. This position is contained in the Division of Business, Technology & the Arts of the college. In addition to a full-time teaching load (18 hours of contact per semester) the selected candidate will be responsible for student advisement, curriculum and course development, and participation in college and departmental activities on campus throughout the year.

Classes are held at NCCC’s main campus located in Sanborn, NY

The start date of this position will be August 26th for the beginning of the Fall 2021 Semester.

Typical Work Activities:

  • Teach students in assigned courses in the delivery format agreed upon
  • Advise students in various programs
  • Hold office hours (in person or virtual as appropriate)
  • Track attendance
  • Complete census reports
  • Report on student learning outcomes
  • Actively participate on committees, as needed, representing the Business, Technology & Arts Division
  • Attend and participate in division meetings

    Essential Functions:

    Ability to work with and teach a diverse student population. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, co-workers, supervisors, and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare, and present information. Must able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position and must adjust any teaching to the Americans with Disabilities Act provisions. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Technology related area;
  • Teaching experience in two (2) of the following areas:
    o3D Technology
    oComputer Aided Design and Manufacturing
    oComputer Numerical Control (CNC) Programming
    oElectricity Principles AC/DC
    oHydraulics & Pneumatics
    oIndustrial Electricity
    oInstrumentation
    oMechanical Design
    oProcesses
    oProgrammable Logic Control (PLC)
    oRobotics
