Current Need We are seeking an EDI Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, FL or Richmond, VA. Position Description The PSSP EDI Specialist will be responsible for working cross functionally to lead EDI (electronic data interchange) compliance from a data quality and connectivity aspect for the organization. Other projects may be assigned based on relative importance to the business. This individual will be knowledgeable with the business and understands the value of the information to the various teams, is technical in nature to assist in identifying non-compliance, and can collaborate effectively with the numerous intersections that exist for these discussions This person must be highly organized, able to query data and identify the root causes and report out quality defects, work independently while documenting EDI standards across our organization, drive EDI quality compliance, and is able to support in creating slide decks. This person must also be able to communicate with a broad range of internal and external people. Key Responsibilities: - Document full EDI requirements by functional area and align on the necessary fields that each area considers critical in consumption to drive efficiencies and document internal process improvements
- Standardize the EDI mapping for required fields and review with functional teams annually
- Create and manage EDI non-compliance communication plan by sending letters monthly notifying suppliers
- Work with suppliers and interface groups to correct issues or charge suppliers for poor quality
- Support in identifying, developing and implementing EDI programs with our supplier partners and McKesson enterprise
- Analyzes data and tracks / reports on EDI compliance for management team
- Understand the EDI technical and external regulatory environment, monitor EDI data, and perform root cause analysis on defects
- Coordinate EDI compliance activity with Category Management, Materials Management, IT, Regulatory, Rebates, AP and other functional areas to drive targeted change
- Design, Implement, and support electronic commerce solutions for business to consumer and business to business technologies.
- Translate formats, ensure communication and facilitate the flow of new and existing transactions
Minimum Requirements Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years relevant experience Critical Skills - 5+ years analytical and process improvement experience
- 5+ years Database queries (Oracle, SQL Server, and/or DB2)
- 3+ years experience leading process improvement projects or related
- 3+ years Supply chain industry experience and/or related field
- Experience understanding the use of EDI across the company in the various functional areas
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Additional Knowledge and Skills - 3+ years JD Edwards Enterprise One
- Demonstrated creative/innovating thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence in a cross-matrix organization
- Strong time management, organization, written and verbal skills: must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of staff up to executive level management including suppliers
- Proven attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
