A. POSITION PURPOSEThe Assistant Dean oversees the Office of Career Management (OCM) to advance and complement the broad educational goals of the University. The Assistant Dean leads the strategic development and implementation of programs, services and resources designed to support a JD and LLM population of 600+ students. The Assistant Dean aspires to strengthen relationships with current and potential employers, engage with Silicon Valley companies to build and maintain the law school’s strong reputation, increase or maintain high usage by students of OCM resources and services, continue collaboration among Law School departments, train students in the skills they need for the careers they want, obtain better employment outcomes for graduates, create an overall vision for the department to implement to achieve the stated goals. This position reports to the Dean of the Law School. B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Provide strategic vision, administrative leadership, and regulatory compliance.
2. Develop, implement, and provide resources and career-related programming.
3. Develop and implement employer outreach efforts.
4. Coach, Counsel, and Strategize with Students and Alumni in their Job Search.
