Research Coordinator

Job Description:

Cognitive Interviewing

• Recruit participants and coordinate schedules for testing survey items.
• Create and manage REDCap surveys.
• Perform cognitive testing of survey items.
• Summarize statements from interviews relevant to item interpretation.
• Draft revisions of survey items based on cognitive testing.
• Maintain organization, formatting, and backup of documents including literature reviews and survey item trackers in Google Drive, Zotero, and TMW Server.
• Prepare monthly progress reports.
• Manage consultant contracts.
• Monitor project work plan and schedule.

Other Responsibilities

• Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
• Analyzes and maintains data.
• Conducts literature reviews, assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents
• Installs, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
• Maintains recruiting and scheduling research subjects; assisting with developing or amending study protocols; assisting with developing data collection tools; assisting with building databases; and providing general administrative support. Has general awareness in research techniques or methods, regulatory policies and procedures, and relevant scientific field.
• Performs other related work as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

• Prior experience in a research lab or setting conducting qualitative interviews

Preferred Competencies

• Familiarity with survey research methods
• Has general awareness in research techniques or methods and relevant scientific knowledge
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Flexible availability for data collection
