Job Description The Distributor-Manufacturer Integration (DMI) Supply Planner is responsible for planning, demand and inventory analysis, and order creation for Rockwell Automation Distributors and Subsidiary locations participating in DMI (Distributor-Manufacturer Integration). DMI is Rockwell Automation's VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) program. The DMI Supply Planner drives communication with Distributor management teams to ensure the DMI program has a positive impact on metrics, including inventory turns and service levels. This position will require close working relationships with functional areas outside of the Supply Chain, specifically in GSM (Channels and Sales), Operations, and our Distribution Network. Major responsibilities - Manage daily replenishment of Distributor stock by reviewing and releasing orders to align with service expectations.
- Manage weekly review of planning parameters and customer profiles to balance inventory and service objectives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for operational issues of Distributors participating in DMI.
- Analyze KPI's, as well as, suggest and implement Distributor-specific improvement activities (i.e. monitor actual performance against the targeted service levels, and provide a summary of operation results for management).
- Create and distribute ad-hoc reports as requested.
- Facilitate ongoing DMI performance review meetings with Distributor management teams.
- Monitor EDI transactions to ensure receipt and processing, and identify Distributor business system issues/inconsistencies that impact the quality and integrity of the data processed.
- Execute standard cadence activities and ensure all activities are updated and managed.
- Develop cross-functional partnerships with the Supply Chain, Channel, and Distributor teams to promote information sharing, project awareness, and the Connected Supply Chain.
- Support activities and initiatives of Rockwell Automation's S&OP Process.
- Identify opportunities to reduce the total cost of Rockwell Automation's global supply chain by optimizing the global distribution network.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- This position may have limited travel to U.S. and international Rockwell Automation locations or Distributors.
Desired Qualifications - A minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in planning, inventory management, analyzing data relating to demand trends.
- Ability to effectively make decisions with limited time and information, and can determine decision making criteria based on priorities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines with internal and external resources.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with a basic understanding of statistical analysis techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills, independent problem resolution, proven leadership ability necessary to be effective across functions and levels, and the ability to manage the requirement of others not directly supervised.
- Proficient software and PC skills, with a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio preferred.
- Ability to plan and organize work to effectively perform assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Interacts well with the global team members and is a team player.
- SAP Experience preferred
- Experience with or understanding of EDI transactions preferred
- APICS - CPIM certification preferred
- Strong team leader/contributor, comfortable in leading cross functional and multi-cultural teams.
- High energy, driven and enthusiastic about opportunities to establish and implement new approaches.
- Possess well-rounded knowledge in supply chain, materials planning and logistics.
