Compliance Specialist

Essential Job Functions

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Compliance Specialist (“Specialist”) will work with the Chief Human Resources Officer and other members of the HR leadership team to plan and implement the Human Resources (HR) department’s approach to complying with federal, state, and local employment-related regulatory requirements.  The Specialist will has a lead role in in delivering, maintaining, communicating  and updating Human Resources policies and procedures on a firmwide basis. The Specialist also oversees the offboarding process for sensitive departures.  

• Identifying, analyzing, and communicating new employment-related legal requirements and updates to existing requirements;
• Organizing, communicating and tracking documentation related to key departures;
• Surfacing issues to Senior Management and recommending potential compliance strategies;
• Providing a consistent method for maintaining, communicating and updating HR policies and procedures on a firmwide basis;
• Supporting Human Resource management and counsel in responding to and resolving complaints;
• Collaborating across functions to support HR-related projects and initiatives;
• Managing the content of the web-based employee policy manual;
• Preparing/submitting filings for all government reporting and internal monitoring purposes, including EEO reports;
• Coordinating change initiatives driven by legal demands; and

Other duties as assigned.

• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
