Essential Functions: The Department of Pharmacology at Wayne State University is seeking to hire a new postdoctoral fellow to work on a new project related to Alzheimer's Disease (AD)-causing proteins. The projects entails using Drosophila melanogaster (fruit fly) genetics, physiology and biochemistry to understand molecular processes involved in neuronal malfunction and death in AD. These studies are expected to yield new and actionable clues into AD pathology and therapeutics. Plan and perform scientific experiments or research protocols related to Alzheimer disease.
