Ojai Valley School is a pre-kindergarten to grade 12 boarding and day school located on two campuses in Ojai, California. The Lower Campus serves students in grades PK-8 and the Upper Campus serves students in grades 9-12. Summary of Position Ojai Valley School, Lower Campus is seeking a well-qualified candidate to serve as a Dorm Parent. The Dorm Parent, under the supervision of the Head of School, Lower Campus, is responsible for the day-to-day management and instruction of students in his or her charge. The Dorm Parent must be willing to live on campus, housing is provided. Ojai Valley School welcomes your interest in our employment opportunities. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Four-year degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common trade and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from parents, regulatory agencies, or members of the community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to management, and parents. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
