The Eye Care Institute / Butchertown Clinical Trials is a rapidly growing ophthalmic and primary care clinical trials site where you can start your career in the clinical trials industry and gain exposure to the inner working of an independent site. Embedded within a large ophthalmology practice, our Butchertown Clinical Trials division is a bustling, stand-alone division with seven PI’s and a separate clinical trials building opening on our health care campus during April 2021.

Working directly with our clinical research coordinators, regulatory and recruitment specialists, this entry-level position will quickly allow you to learn about data integrity, documentation and source documents as your Clinical Research Assistant role will focus on data entry, temperature monitoring, and patient Informed Consent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and become familiar with study protocol-study proceedings, timelines, inclusion and exclusion criteria, confidentiality, privacy protections
• Collect documents needed for site participation in study
• Assures timely and accurate data entry of electronic case report forms
• Assist Clinical Research Coordinators to ensure proper documentation and data entry
• Organize study files and records
• Maintain correspondence from sponsors,  and IRBs
• Attends teleconferences and webinars as requested
