Responsibilities
- Strategize and define roadmap for wealth operations digitization and automation across the relevant markets, identification and execution of key-opportunities to streamline, digitize & automate processes to transform operations to be future ready, improve operational productivity & tighten controls.
- Lead & support long-term strategic initiatives across wealth functions by working with regional & country Retail, Digital & Controls stakeholders
- Perform pre-audit peer-reviews for operations units in country & Citi Solution Center Networks (CSCs) to assess & recommend process & control improvements. Support country operations during internal & external audits & work closely with Operations CBORC (Consumer Business Operational Risk & Control) teams in standardizing controls, control assessment monitoring activities, automated controls etc. across all relevant markets
- Represent Wealth Operations in Quarterly Governance meetings, perform New Product Approval related assessments
- Work closely with relevant cross-functional core, credit and customer service operations units to support wealth related client onboarding & demographics maintenance activities, client, securities and counterparties sanctions screening processes, payments & fund transfers to wealth clients & counterparties, wealth related e-statements & e-advices delivery, investments & insurance phone sales activities, callbacks, cash & asset reconciliations, tax and regulatory reporting etc.
- Conduct monthly/ quarterly country & CSC operations governance reviews on financials, people, key-digitization metrics & progress on strategic initiatives
- This role also manages Smart Automation Process Governance for Robotics Process Automation across all consumer operations functions, including assessment of ROI, facilitation of process architecture committee approvals, managing vendor relationship & annual Third Party Assessment.
- Work with RPA technology team on annual budget allocations, RPA prioritization and Audit & COB exercises.
- Work with relevant wealth mgmt. & smart automation vendors for proof-of-concepts of new digital technology solutions that would potentially streamline and optimize the wealth processes
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant experience in wealth operations space with in-depth knowledge of retail investment products including mutual funds, retail bonds, structured notes, structured deposits, stock brokerage, treasury, insurance, margin trading products & associated operational processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory bodies, applicable regulations, sanctions & tax policies across APAC & EMEA and associated operational process controls, regulatory reporting responsibilities etc.
- Knowledge of wealth management industry players like fund houses, asset management companies, registrars & transfer agents, issuers & counterparties, brokers, custodians & clearing houses, market data providers etc. across markets.
- Excellent communication skills required to communicate with all staff levels and when communicating problems, opportunities and concepts to non-technical individuals.

- Bachelor's degree/ University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
