The Medical Staff Office Credentialing Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the medical staff office, including oversight of credentialing, privileging, bylaws and policy development, flow of information from medical staff committees through the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Board as well as compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. The Medical Staff Office Credentialing Manager will provide direct supervision to medical staff office employees and promote communication and collaboration between hospital administration, the organized medical staff and other hospital staff as applicable.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or healthcare related field or equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of Medical Staff Office administrative management experience with an understanding of accreditation and regulatory standards related to medical staff functions.
Master Degree in business or health related field preferred.
General knowledge of healthcare environments and specific knowledge of Medical Staff Office functions as well as the impact credentialing and regulatory compliance has on an organization. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing. Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule as needed. Computer skills with the ability to organize and synthesize data. Ability to utilize a variety of electronic databases to ensure current compliance. Ability to communicate with providers, leaders and frontline team members, both verbally and in writing. Excellent report writing and editing skills. Demonstrated excellence in professional performance.
Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) or Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist preferred.
