Essential Functions: Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, provide scientific and technical assistance to complete laboratory based science in a cancer research laboratory studying the role of extracellular proteases in tumor progression.Perform laboratory based scientific techniques and participation in all aspects of the research process which encompass various standard molecular biology techniques including molecular cloning, PCR, and Western blotting.Participate in implementing research objectives, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and protocol guidelines.Cell culture experiments including transfection and gene silencingMaintain the laboratory work areas including routine maintenance on laboratory equipment as required. Order and organize required research supplies and records. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work station. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree with a strong background in science is required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
