The purpose of the role is to deliver proactive oversight and challenge to the front office and senior management in their fiduciary duties.
This role has a specific focus in Managing the oversight of Liquidity risk management across the Artemis mandates and an overall oversight responsibility of the equity mandates
Responsible for the delivery of a range of investment risk activities
Escalate material investment and liquidity risks clearly to the Head of Investment Risk/CRO/CIO in a timely manner.
Specific involvement in the ESG development work and the integration of these considerations within the Investment risk review process.
Be seen as a challenging partner to the business, aiming to add value to the investment process for the benefit of our end investors while keeping the right level of independence / oversight on the fund managers
Liaise with the fund managers & other members of the front office teams on emerging risks, development of new analytics or escalating risk concerns for discussion
Skills:
Strong quantitative capability and understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to investment risk
Well-developed understanding of an asset management business model
In-depth knowledge of standard 3rd party equity market risk modelling, especially when used in recent professional experience
Demonstrable experience of building strong relationships across an asset management business
