Our Inova Falls Church location is seeking a Full-Time, Laboratory Technical Assistant, Rotating Weekends.

• Performs proper specimens /blood product collection, by confirming patient/donor ID, collecting specimens in proper tubes, utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques, and accurately labeling the specimens/blood products to ensure accurate patient results.
• Provides excellent patient and customer service by using AIDET principles and assuring the correctness and quality of technical information and directions provided to customers is appropriate.
• Manages specimen accessioning accurately and efficiently to provide quality specimens for laboratory testing.
• Ensures accurate specimens processing to maintain specimen integrity. Verifies product and/or test components when processing.
• Reviews registration and billing information accurately and efficiently in order to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Accurately completes all forms (medical history form, newborn screening, etc.).
• font style="font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif;">Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with team members to optimize job performance and foster working relationships.
• Hours will be based on department needs working Monday to Friday and weekends as required.
• Phlebotomy experience.
