Denver Health is recruiting a Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team in August 2021! Summary The psychology postdoctoral fellow provides therapeutic services as a psychologist candidate for licensure under the supervision of the Chief Psychologist and other delegated licensed behavioral health clinicians. The position will be focused on training for the evaluation and treatment of those with substance use disorders including opioid use disorders. The fellowship is affiliated with several HRSA-funded grant projects to increase the psychology workforce with skills to help persons from vulnerable and underserved communities, including the urgent public health priority area of addiction. Specifically the fellow may participate on the Addiction Consult-Liaison service, Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) service in the Emergency Department, and outpatient Substance Use and Adult Mental Health clinics. In addition to engaging in clinical services, the fellow will provide clinical supervision to psychology interns rotating on these services. Program development and research will focus on increasing the knowledge base about the integration of psychology substance use evaluation and treatment in medical settings and/or telehealth services for members of our rural communities. Teaching and supervision by the fellow will be in association with the Department of Behavioral Health Services and our APA-accredited psychology internship program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1.Provide doctoral level psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational services to children, teenagers, and families. 2.Participate in program development activities to increase engagement and retention in treatment for children and families with substance use disorders. 3.Participate in research initiatives to enhance knowledge of children and families who are impacted by substance use disorders. 4.Collaborate with OBHS leadership and substance use disorder teams to improve interdisciplinary patient care services. 5.Provide didactic and clinical teaching to psychology interns, practica students, and other trainees as appropriate. 6.Complete appropriate documentation of therapeutic activities in a timely manner. 7.Participate effectively in supervision with Chief Psychologist and other delegated supervisors. 8.Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education 1.Doctoral degree in psychology required. Experience 1.Completion of predoctoral internship and graduation from an APA accredited institution with a doctoral degree in psychology.Two years of clinical training and experience with relevant populations strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1.Postdoctoral fellow has strong doctoral level knowledge, skills, and abilities in clinical service with pediatric populations. Proficiency in two or more evidence-based practices with children and families. 2.Postdoctoral fellow has criticalthinkingskills as well as advanced written and oral communication skills. 3.Abilitytomaintainprofessionalboundariesandconfidentialityofpatients'records. 4.Advanced knowledge and skills in research and/or program evaluation. Computers and Technology 1.Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 2.Proficiency with documentation in an electronic health record. Certificates, Licenses and Registration 1.Graduation from an APA accredited institution with a PhD, PsyD, or EdD. 2.Registered with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a qualified licensure candidate (Psychologist Candidate). Location Shift Work Type Pay Range Minimum: 38,429.88 Midpoint: 46,995.58 Maximum: 55,561.27 All job applicants for safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment drug test, once a conditional offer of employment has been made.
