The primary objective of this position is to work collaboratively with other research, clinic, and hospital staff to provide services as assigned in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service. This position will support the Division ofCardiothoracic Surgery in standardizing clinical protocols, analyzing clinical outcomes data, writing IRB protocols and supporting protocols through the IRB approval process. The Clinical Research Coordinator provides monitoring and clinical expertise to ensure protocol adherence and accurate study data capture. Clinical Responsibilities: Oversees and assists in providing the highest standard of care for subjects involved in research in the Division of Pediatric Surgery at OHSU.
IRB Management: Preparation and submission of all study related IRB regulatory documents. Must be available to attend IRB meetings as needed. Data Management: Accurate, efficient, data accrual and documentation, including developing databases for the Divisions ongoing research needs. Coordination Responsibilities: Attend study initiation meetings and monitor visits as needed. Customer Service: Provide highest level of customer service to both external customers (patients and their families, referring providers, sponsors, etc.) and internal customers (OHSU and Legacy providers and staff) that meets or exceeds the service standards of the health care industry. This duty includes prompt and professional communication efforts, face-to-face customer contact skills, familiarity with available information technology, standard complaint processing, flexible coverage of internal service needs and the continuous application of process improvement methods and skills. Must be available to attend faculty meetings as needed.
