Our Inova Fairfax Campus Pathology Lab is seeking Full-time Day/Evening shift Pathologist Assistant.

Some of the duties include:

• Process pathology specimens maintaining positive specimen identification, obtain pertinent patient clinical history,describe gross anatomic features,dissect and prepare surgical specimens for processing and maintain grossing stations to ensure quality preparation of all specimens.
• Assist and perform frozen sections, evaluate and submit fresh renal biopsy tissue, and submit specimens in proper media for esoteric testing.
• Assist in the preparation and performance of postmortem examination.
• Demonstrates knowledge of operational and regulatory standards.
• Participate in professional growth opportunities to maintain competency and certification requirements, perform administrative and teaching duties as required.

• Hours are based on department needs working Monday to Friday and weekends as required
