Job Title: Administrative Coordinator - Heroes MAKE America Department: Manufacturing Institute Reports To: Senior Program Manager, Military and Veterans Programs
Who We Are: The Manufacturing Institute (MI), the workforce and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), is dedicated to supporting the manufacturing workforce of today and growing the manufacturing workforce of tomorrow. It does so through a variety of programs designed to inspire, educate and empower with a focus in four key areas: women, veterans, youth and lifelong learning. The Institute also serves as the leading authority on data and research for the industry through its Center for Manufacturing Research, closely examining issues of importance to manufacturers both to help understand them and illuminate what needs to be done to solve them.
Heroes MAKE America (HMA) is the Manufacturing Institute’s initiative to build connections between the military community and manufacturing industry Our signature program provides transitioning service members, veterans, National Guard, reservists and military spouses with the skills and certifications to find and excel in manufacturing careers. The MI is committed to building and expanding the Heroes MAKE America military training program so we can assist our nation’s service members in their transition to civilian life and fill open manufacturing jobs. We are equally committed to helping our manufacturers welcome this talent into their workforce.
Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic, solutions oriented individual to join our dedicated team and assist with administrative support for recruiting, day to day operations, and maintenance of the Heroes program. This position will play an integral part on the team, working side-by-side with us to fulfill our mission to support the military community in building their next career pathway. Day-to-day activities include team support, general administrative duties, supplemental recruitment, data collection and other duties as assigned by the Senior Program Manager or the Vice President, Military and Veteran Programs. A successful candidate for this position will be an enthusiastic individual who excels at multi-tasking, enjoys implementing and completing a process and exudes passion for this mission.
