A rapidly growing Financial Services firm in London are seeking an Assistant Company Secretary to join their team.
The secretarial team provides advice on governance issues and ensures that the organisation complies with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements. Several organisational policies are managed by the team with responsibility for review, training and ensuring compliance.
Working with the Chairs of appropriate Committees and the Deputy Corporate Secretary to ensure the timely and accurate production and dissemination of agendas, papers and minutes, including co-ordination of business contributions to meetings and management and follow up of action points for these Committees
Ensuring that the right flow and quality of information is provided to the relevant Committee
Maintaining the forward agendas for Committees and advising these Committees on compliance with their terms of reference
Supporting oversight of policies owned by the team, ensuring these remain fit for purpose and in line with best practise
Previous experience of working in a company secretary team supporting boards for a comparable and complex, high profile organisation (Ideally a financial services organisation or Investment Manager)
Evidence of providing hands on support to technically complex meetings
The tenacity to cope with a high workload in a busy and challenging environment
Highly developed relationship building and stakeholder influencing skills
