| Department Name: H5000: CHANDLER - RETAIL PHARMACY Job Summary: The Payer Administration Director will work with pharmacy leadership, the EVPHA Revenue Management Contract team, and the Office of Legal Counsel in order to serve as the primary point of contact for third-party payors in receiving, triaging, reviewing, negotiating, and responding to all retail, specialty, mail order, and infusion pharmacy contracts. This individual will also cultivate third-party relationships with pharmacy benefit managers, medical plans, and select drug manufacturers with the goal of supporting UKHC Pharmacy Services while maximizing value. The Payer Administration Director formally reports to the Enterprise Director of Pharmacy Services, with a dotted line to the Chief of Commercial & Governmental Payor Administration. Skills /Knowledge/Abilities: The ideal candidate for this position will have exceptional negotiation, strategic thinking, attention to detail, relationship-building, and communication skills. The ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all organizational levels as well as external partners is essential, as well as the ability to seamlessly communicate, manage and preserve sensitive information while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality. Of additional importance to the success of the individual in this position is a strong background in, and familiarity with, the pharmacy industry, specifically with technical terms and processes. Position Time Status: Full-Time Required Education: JD Required Related Experience: 6 yrs Required License/Registration/Certification : JD degree plus Licensed Pharmacist or eligible for licensure in KY. Preferred Education/Experience: JD, Kentucky pharmacist licensure, and at least six full years of paid employment experience in analytics, project management, pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) agreements, medical contracting, and reviewing, redlining, and negotiating contracts, is highly preferred.
