Program Manager

Position Summary:

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Manager for the Outpatient Programs – Intensive Outpatient Programs department at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.

The primary purpose of the Program Manager position is to provide clinical and administrative direction and oversight
to assigned programs, and closely monitor program integrity to comply with all regulatory requirements. Responsible for ongoing program development and implementation of Best Practice interventions.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Directs the administrative and clinical organization of the program.
• Establishes clear, measurable objectives for service.
• Maintains knowledge of trends and development in the mental health field; regularly attends and participates in in-service
  meetings and other designated training events that will enhance clinical skills, and maintains best practices.
• Maintains required certifications and/or memberships in appropriate professional bodies as indicated by annual vitae update,
  Continuing Education record, and updated licensing.
• Reviews the quality of clinical records and provides ongoing feedback to clinicians on their documentation. Completes the required qualitative chart reviews as requested by the Clinical Documentation Subcommittee.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Minimum of a Master's Degree in a behavioral health discipline and five (5) years of postgraduate experience in a relevant
  behavioral healthcare setting.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience.
• An appropriate doctorate may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Requires extensive knowledge and experience with behavioral healthcare prevention services.
• Outstanding human relations and leadership skills, and the ability to function in a team environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge is necessary of how to accomplish superior performance in a unionized environment.
