Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Coordinator of Administrative Services for Research Regulatory Affairs. The Coordinator of Administrative Services provides critical regulatory support to the Rutgers IRBs through coordination, facilitation and monitoring of IRB submissions.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Screen research protocols submitted for review and facilitates the review of such protocols.
  • Utilize home-grown and other University databases, and must be fluent and demonstrate high skill in the use of office IT (e.g., OneDrive, shared and collaborative platforms, etc.)
  • Protects integrity and confidentiality of research, generates agendas and minutes and reports as needed, assists faculty users with electronic protocol submission.
  • Perform duties independently, with minimal oversight, and prioritizes as appropriate.

    Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, work organization, coordination, facilitation, office support.
  • A minimum of two(2) years relevant experience in an administrative function.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Outstanding interpersonal and management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a collaborative style to facilitate working with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students.
  • Experience working with faculty, staff, and students in achieving their research goals.
  • Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver's license would be required for this position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with human subjects research is preferred, as is demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the IRB process.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Travel to other campuses and locations of the University as needed.
