As the Medical Staff and Risk Coordinator for Gunnison Valley Health, you will be responsible for the review, analysis, and follow up of credentialing and privileging applications, maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies. You’ll utilize your unique skills and ideas by:
Communicating with providers while helping them navigate the credentialing process.
Preparing credentialing packages for presentation to applicable committees for review and approval.
Assisting with data collection and providing administrative support for Environment of Care, Medical Executive and Medical Staff committees.
Assisting the Director of Care Management with Occurrence Reporting Software, logging and tracking occurrence reports, and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Participating in the Joint Commission team meetings and survey preparedness activities.
To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
Education – High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience – Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet creation, and data input, specifically with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel computer programs. Ability to learn and navigate other software programs such as Symplr EPR and Quality, CPSI, CMS Cart, Occurrence Reporting Software and MCN ellucid Policy Manager.
