Clarity Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Psychologist to join our growing private practice as a permanent staff member (W-2). The Psychologist must be independently licensed in Illinois and be in good standing with the IL Department of Regulatory Agency. ** Note that we cannot accept students, interns, or unlicensed applicants. We have a strong referral base of both insurance and private pay clients and are looking for someone who can join our team immediately upon hire.
Our ideal candidate has the following:
Formal training in Psychological Assessment – preferably a one-year postdoctoral fellowship
Training in the assessment of: ADHD, Autism (and nuances of ASD in higher cognition individuals), and medical/physical conditions impacting cognitive or emotional functioning
Passion for identifying, embracing, and nurturing diversity. Ability to look beyond diagnostic criteria and categories to understand the whole person.
Ability to be flexible and creative in serving our clients as the COVID situation evolves. Providing a mix of telehealth services and in-person services, when appropriate and necessary.
Training in tele assessment (or willingness to receive training in tele assessment).
Experience assessing children, teens and adults.
Great personality and sense of humor.
A commitment to keeping up with the research.
Experience with supervision of graduate students.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments to identify mood and/or personality difference, attention-related difficulties, and overall emotional challenges.
Provide evaluations for IQ testing and detailed screening for personality and mood
Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Director of Psychological Testing to plan and implement each assessment.
Complete detailed assessment reports in a timely manner. All assessment reports are subject to the review and approval of the Director.
Stay current with updated research and best practices.
Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
Learn and use electronic systems for scheduling, documentation, phone, and billing.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and honing your skills.
Ability and willingness to accept and incorporate feedback on clinical and professional skills
Practice with integrity and ethics. Know your competencies and limitations and refer to a team member and/or consult when needed.
A Ph.D. or Psy.D.in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, or school/educational psychology
APA Accredited doctoral internship
Post-doctoral fellowship in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, or assessment-focused practice (preferred)
Currently Licensed as a Psychologist with the State of Illinois Department of Regulatory Agencies.
