You will be joining a team dedicated to Understanding, Envisioning and Creating the next generation of customer experiences in the B2B focused industrial automation space. As part of the Customer Experience Center you will have a key role in defining the customer experience strategy for Rockwell Automation. This position will lead UX and Service Design strategy projects that drive cross-functional collaboration and transform the customer experience during the lifecycle of products and services that combine to deliver digital manufacturing solutions. Service Designers design the end-to-end journey of an offering, enabling a user to achieve their goals, and the business to deliver target outcomes. Their work may involve the creation of, or changes to, processes, products, and content across both digital and offline channels provided by different areas of the business. Service Designers come from many backgrounds, and we are interested in those who, in addition to being an experienced Service Design practitioner, have depth in one or more of the following areas: Research, Visual Design & Illustration, Prototyping, Value Proposition, Organizational Design.
You will be able to write service design project proposals, run cross-functional workshops that bring the user to the center and define an ideal service experience.
You will be able to produce artefacts that include Service Design Blueprints, illustrated journey maps, concept designs, service experience prototypes, empathy maps and value propositions for the creation and evolution of products and services.
You will be able to plan, conduct, report-on, and advocate for a variety of research methodologies
Define and document key service/experience metrics in collaboration with the CX Center leader, product and business managers across the enterprise. Determine feasibility of implementing these metrics
Mentoring leaders in the company from non-design backgrounds who choose to sponsor the adoption of design thinking and design doing in their respective business groups.
Coaching junior colleagues, or those taking part in the design training and design apprenticeship scheme who are considering reskilling and moving into a design role.
