The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine provides expert care for patients with lung diseases and critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Units. We are committed to innovative research and exceptional education.
The Student Worker will work under direct supervision, primarily providing general administrative support for a project team. Tasks may also include basic data entry and report generation. The position will also perform basic research or lab activities, similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aid.
The Student Worker position will join our clinical researchteam with various hours throughout the work week. Shifts would be mutually agreed upon with PI and other members of the team for up to 20 hours per week.The positionwill assist with recruiting, screening and consenting patients for clinical trials (including intensive care unit and emergency department), assist with study interventions subject consents and visits, data collection and abstraction, including collecting and processing biologic samples if needed. Perform electronic data entry and help maintain study records. Maintain study visit supplies. Attend research meetings as needed. Assist with compliance of all protocol and regulatory requirements.
Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in
High School, OR Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours) OR
Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours)
Ability to take initiative and work independently with strong problem solving skills. Strong computer skills including MS Office suite specially Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience in a clinical research setting.
Previous experience working with electronic health records systems.
This is NOT a summer/holiday position. We are looking for individuals who can commit for at least 1 year.
