Summary of Position: AVIXA (Audiovisual & Integrated Experience Association) is seeking a driven Manager, Live Content US/Canada to join our content creation team. Reporting to the Director, Live Content US/Canada, the Manager, Live Content US/Canada will be responsible for creating and delivering live editorial content programs and related elements supporting 360-degree content strategy, sponsor fulfillment, and partnership exchanges. As a Manager, Live Content US/Canada, you will build year-round conversations across a range of platforms for service providers and manufacturers to connect, grow their knowledge and business, and be inspired. You will bring a modern, audience-first storytelling approach to AVIXA’s thought leadership and education. You will work collaboratively with team members to ensure the seamless delivery of live content programs, including event writeups, speaker outreach and management, and production of successful thought leadership and education that meet the needs of the pro AV industry audience. Major Duties & Responsibilities: - Responsible for development of new content that bolsters the association’s brand reputation for thought leadership by producing live in-person and virtual events and webinars.
- Management of live content programs and speaker acquisition/management for high-priority topic areas. Collaborate with colleagues within and outside department to curate content, identify and secure speakers.
- Creation and implementation of 360-degree content strategy including webinars, articles, videos, and other digital content that amplifies reach to target audience before, during, and after live events.
- Source industry input to ensure real-world feedback on the business value of event offerings and uncover new topic areas to develop. As appropriate, create and manage content advisory groups.
- Conduct data analysis and competitive intelligence needed to keep content relevant and growth oriented.
- Work with the director, live content and internal sales team to develop pre-sale event writeups and pitch concepts. Work closely with sponsors to fulfill content components of live content sponsorships.
- Increase efficiency of content operations by forming relationships with global program team members to facilitate cross-placement and repurposing of tradeshow session topics and/or speakers.
- Ideate and develop additional editorial projects (ex: webinars, live streams) as relevant.
- Utilize project management templates to track content development.
- Collaborate with expo team on live content operations for in-person and virtual events including AV production, run of show, staffing plans, and other aspects as needed.
- Plan, schedule, and execute rehearsals/dry-runs and technical testing for needed events.
- Provide speaker and moderator support for event onboarding when appropriate.
- Attend industry and association events on behalf of the company. Some travel, approximately 15% of the job time, required, including 7 to 10 days in June for the annual InfoComm Exposition.

- Ability to nurture lasting relationships with conference speakers and content partners.
- Experience of working with content sponsors to ensure appropriate packaging and implementation of deliverables.
- Ability to work effectively as an advisor on content, communication strategies, messaging and talking points with both internal and external executives and leaders.
- Demonstrate professional flexibility to adjust to shifting business needs – anticipate potential problems and develop contingency plans.
