Oncology Senior Clinical Manager

The Senior Manager is a recognized pharmacy leader with strong oncology skills and provides visible, values driven leadership and advocacy for the cancer care pharmacy. The Mayo Clinic Cancer Center is an NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. The Senior Manager will oversee the outpatient infusion center pharmacy and manages quality of patient care, utilization, quantity, and cost of resources. The Sr. Manager plans, implements, and evaluates programs to ensure that provision of the best quality patient care. This role is expected to be an innovator, leader, and facilitator to ensure continuous quality improvement. The Sr. Manager will mentor staff members and build a sense of teamwork both inside and outside of the department to create and support a positive work environment. This individual manages implements and coordinates comprehensive infusion center pharmacy operations that are aligned with the goals of the Cancer Center and the Department of Pharmacy, incorporates best practices, emphasizes the safety and optimized outcomes of our patients, and delivers the highest value care to our patients and the organization. Manages pharmacy services to ensure that all quality, legal, regulatory and accreditation standards are met or exceeded. Actively participates in and supports pharmacy education programs and scholarly activity. Job Requirements: Previous experience required includes PGY 2 training in oncology, and/or equivalent experience of 3-5 years in oncology pharmacy practice.
Additional Experience and/or Qualifications: Master’s degree in related field (e.g. MHA, MBA, MPH) and/or completion of leadership or management educational programs (e.g. ASHP leadership program) and Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy desirable. Advanced skills in quality improvement, strategic planning, project management and team building. |
